What's been happening...

I need to apologise to you all as I have not posted a blog recently. It has been a bit crazy for me personally with a death in the family, but it has just enhanced my need to scrap my memories for the future generations. With this in mind I want to ask you all something... do you journal on your scrapbook pages? Journalling could be as little as the date the photo/s were taken and who is in them to telling the story behind the photo eg. what was happening when the photo was taken. Journalling doesn't have to be a lot, it doesn't even need to be visible. You can get creative with the journalling, maybe hiding it on a tag behind the photo if you don't want to have it seen. With the recent loss it has made me wonder what memories and stories have been lost with her. My children may not necessarily care what my year 12 formal was like, or how I met their father, but who's to say that my grandchildren or great grandchildren may not want to know. Even just journalling about what we had available to us growing up compared to what is available these days would be an interesting read for future generations. I know that in my search of family history I would have loved if one of my ancestors had scrapped their memories and stories of their lives. Just a little something to think about when you scrap your next page.

Sorry for being away so long

14 Flowers

Yesterday was my Techniques event at Dilston Hall where we made 14 flowers with just three different sized flower punches. Alot of curling, pinching, spritzing, punching and sticking was done, and alot of fun was had. Flowers were punched then lost, instructions were punched by accident, and flowers got stuck to fingers. Thank you Pat for sharing her tip of using sorbalene cream to unstick fingers when they've been stuck together by super glue. Next month's Technique event is focused on the May New Products held on Sunday 19th May from 1pm-3pm at Dilston Hall. This is the same weekend that consultants all over the country will see the new products, so if you are interested in attending please let me know.

I just want to take this opportunity to say sorry to my customers for no newsletter or blog posts these last few weeks. Over Easter I went to Maria Island as a parent helper on my son's cub camp, and ended up being airlifted off the island with suspected appendicitis. It was quite an exciting experience, my first time being in a helicopter, that while I was bed ridden the following week I needed to scrap the experience. Thankfully it wasn't appendicitis, and as investigations continue I just wanted to apologise to you all. I'm sure you all understand.

Now that I'm feeling better I'm back with my blog and newsletter (which should be coming out later this week). Easter Card

On Sunday I held a Mega Demo at Evandale Memorial Hall following the stand I had at Evandale Village Fair the previous Saturday. Those in attendance received a "Spend $50 choose another $50" voucher just to say thanks for coming. Fun and craft was shared amongst all in attendance. Thanks to the lovely ladies who came along, it was a great afternoon. As Easter is fast approaching we made an Easter card using the Bella paper range and Distress Markers, as well as a Vellum Pouch using the Ezy Press that everyone was able to put an Easter Egg in to take home. These projects are pictured. The Vellum Pouches are great and easy to make, if you're wanting that special gift to hand out to your kids friends (and teachers) at Easter time. As it is made just using the Ezy Press and stamping, you may be able to get your older kids to help you make them. If you are wanting a rough copy of how to make them if you were unable to attend the Mega Demo contact me and I'll endevour to help you. MEGA March Madness!!!

Surprise Packs available in March

I hope that everyone enjoyed summer as we enter into autumn. As the weather cools and the school year kicks off into full-swing take some time out to plan all the craft you can do during the coming wintery months. There are Surprise Packs available this month from Kaszazz. They include products to the value of $100RRP but you can purchase them for just $50. The contents will be revealed on 15 March which I will put in another post on here. March Host Promotions

That's right everyone, the Alcohol Markers have ARRIVED!!! I am so excited and can't wait to get all 72 colours. There are six wonderful ways to use them and I will be teaching these techniques at my next techniques event on Sunday 24th March at Dilston Hall. Techniques Event

The Technique Tags we made today using Perfect Pearls

Today we had a lovely afternoon learning different techniques with how to use Perfect Pearls. They are such a versatile product with five different technique tags being made today. Thanks to all those who attended. It was such a successful day that I will be running these technique afternoons once a month at Dilston Hall. Next month it will be on Sunday 24th March 2013 from 1pm - 3pm. At this stage I am hoping to be able to show you techniques with the new alcohol markers in March (as long as we've received them). If they haven't arrived in time and there are any products in the current Kaszazz range that you would like to learn more about don't hesitate to let me know and I'll do my best to incorporate it into our technique afternoons.

What's New This Month!!!

Product Improvement - Roman Fonts Die
Our 2599 Fonts #Delight Roman Ezy-Press die has been improved! This die was one of the trickier designs in our range to use because of the many letters being cut out at any one time. The die, in its original format, has never been considered faulty as there are many well documented tips and techniques for producing a good result. Of the manufacturer's many global customers selling this design, Kaszazz is the only company to have pushed them for a better product! Our high standards have encouraged them to change the die format to 2 separate, narrow dies rather than 1 great big die. The new format reduces the number of shapes being cut at one time, and puts even cutting pressure across all shapes. All orders for the 2599 Fonts #Delight Roman from now on will be supplied in the new format.

Unfortunately, 1390 Brads - Polka Dots 30mm (10) will be retired effective immediately. Our supplier has advised us that they are no longer able to manufacture this size for us. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Some new products have been pre-released in anticipation of the next product release in May. All I can say is WOW! There are three new papers which will add a dash of masculinity to your projects. But, they are just as suited to any other style of project, especially with the trendy chevron pattern on the reverse!
There is a new binding machine available called The Cinch. The Cinch makes book binding quick, easy and affordable! You can punch perfectly round holes, customise hole spacing and punch any length of book. The Cinch is great for making mini albums, recipe books, presentations and more!Binding wire is available in 1", 3/4" and 5/8" rings and 4 choices of colour will give you the perfect bind for any book project.
There are also some new exclusive un-mounted Kaszazz Stamps and embellishments as well as a Journal Genie. You can do all your creative journalling with this Journal Genie! With a fine tip pen on one end and a glue stick on the other - you'll never be stuck for words ever again! It is perfect for art journalling, cardmaking, scrapbooking and beyond the page!

SB Paper - Carpe Diem

On Sunday I went along to see the new products just released from Kaszazz and all I can say is WOW!!! The papers are unisex with one side being feminine and the other being masculine.

There are so many great stamps with this release, some we had already seen before Christmas, but there were so many more that can be so versatile once the creative juices get flowing. There's also a new embellishment pack 5345 Embellishment - Atlas (11) which includes four little glass bottles to be used in the new configuration box. The project I made on Sunday was MC045 Carpe Diem Possibilities Configuration Box using these embellishments.
